Need more power? If so, the Tahoe's 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 with Dynamic Fuel Management checks every box. It can effortlessly pump out up to 420 HP and 460 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is available on the RST, Z71, and Premier but is standard in the High Country. Both the 5.3L and 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engines have an EPA-estimated 20 MPG.
However, if you need the power of a V8 but the fuel efficiency of a smaller engine, the new Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel is built for it. This engine will deliver up to 277 HP and 460 lb-ft of torque. The Duramax Turbo Diesel engine makes the Tahoe the most fuel-efficient large SUV in the class. In fact, the new 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe's Duramax Turbo Diesel boasts an impressive range of up to 672 highway miles.
This full-size SUV is available as a 2WD or 4WD and can achieve a maximum towing capacity of 8,400 lbs.
